Bend is all about the outdoors. At Embark, our training philosophy is rooted in building strength for our Bend lifestyles.

From the beginning, the goal was to build a flexible training environment where the community could take advantage of an outdoor training environment. In addition to a state-of-the-art indoor studio, the design of the outdoor training deck was an important feature allowing members to experience what its like to particpate in organized fitness while breathing in our fresh air and soaking up some Vitamin D, at the same time.

The deck accomodates all of our fitness offerings, including the cycling program as well as our strength based classes. The structure allows for outdoor winter training too in the climatized structure.

When winter arrives, members want to be ready for all their seasonal outdoor endeavors. The outdoor training enviroment helps them acclimate to those conditions so when they venture to the mountains or nordic trails, they can hit the ground running.

 

 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 

Convertable fitness is our jam.

Having the flexibility to convert our training deck from cycling to strentgth based training or a combination of both is also central to our training philosophy.

As exercise science continues to advance, we have learned much more about varying workouts, movement patterns, external loads and their associated benefits. Offering a kick-butt cycling program with a cross-training mentality helps members stay balanced while building the needed strength.
